Our Team

SupportDRC is entirely operated by two juniors at the Lycée Français de Chicago, Som Shah and Cyrus Suri. After developing a close friendship with two Congolese teenagers who had recently been transferred to their school, they became eager to learn more about the ongoing crisis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and find a meaningful way to get involved. Surrounded by an engaged and supportive community, Som and Cyrus were motivated to found SupportDRC—a student-led initiative aimed at raising awareness and providing support for people affected by conflict and instability in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
